My first time visiting El Nuevo Mundo Market. I was hoping to find a Puerto Rican soft baked cookie/sweet bread that taste like molasse. The area isn't a place for you to wander around. There was only street parking and don't think I would go there by myself. They close at 7 PM so the selection of food available at 6:45 PM upon arrival didn't allow me to get the roasted pig. They only have that on the weekends. I was so happy to know they still had pasteles, even though they were not made to eat. The prices for the pasteles were the fairest I've seen ($3.25 each). I've ordered them on Facebook made by someone in Lancaster and drove up there to pick them up. I've also ordered some from N.Y. which cost shipping. Those were priced between $5 - $7 each. I was happy to find frozen tostones and had to get some. It will save me a lot of time from preparing next time I want to eat some.
